Thoughts;
You could contact DARS and the Texas School for the Blind (www.tsbvi.edu) to find out what is available in TX.

I am not sure the age range for the Camp Abilities camps, but you can look into them (www.campabilities.org) to find out what camps are available and if any are open to 19 year olds.

You can check with the Lion's Club camps and such too. Often different groups also recruit counselors, older students with good skills to mentor students and such.

The Junior Blind in Los Angelos, CA have a summer program -- not sure the age range or anything. They also have a monthly travel program that might be of interest and will take people from out of state.

There is an adventure program too, it is a program that Erik Weinmeyer has worked with. Can't remember the name, based out of Colorado, I believe. They go hiking in Peru, rafting in the Grand Canyon, and some other trips. It isn't cheap, as far as I know. You could google youth blind hiking Peru and you can find it.

Just some ideas, good luck!

Sincerely,
