Hey, that's awesome! I know you will love it! I have a braille note apex and I love using it!
Good luck, and I hope you get it soon.

Re:Getting a BraileeNote Apex!

Thanks! I'm really excited. Do you use ethernet or wireless when you go online on the Apex?

Re:Getting a BraileeNote Apex!

Sarah that's great! I know you will love it! It has a dictionary but you might have to get a license for it. I got one off the HumanWare website. I use my Braille Note for the internet more than my computer these days. I use my computer, but only to go on Skype and to solve captchas when needed.
Anyway, good luck.

Re:Getting a BraileeNote Apex!

Hey, whenh using the braille note apex, you use Wireless internet, and just as a note: I don't think its ok to download humanware upgrades on the braille note using wireless because of memory issues or something knot sure, another note: you are knot told whether the wireless signal you are trying to connect with is secure or unsecure you have to find my creating the connection configuration yourself, it is good to ask the person for the password before trying to connect because without it it will knot work.
good luck!

Re:Getting a BraileeNote Apex!

we'll have to get Wireless. Are the stereo speakers good for listening to music?

Re:Getting a BraileeNote Apex!

Hey, you can still use ethernet all you need is an ethernet cable witch you can get at a local electronics store such as best-buy or wallmart. Yes, the speakers are pritty good for listening to music.

Re:Getting a BraileeNote Apex!

Hi,

I've got an apex and I can think of a few things you may want to know. First of all, make sure you have 9.2, otherwise it will never stop freezing up on you. Second, the wireless eats the power like nothing else, so keep a charger nearby, ethernet does too, but not as much. Oh ya, and turn the scrole wheel off, just take my word for it. Basically the keys sound like laptop keys, it's maybe half the size of the mpower, and the internet goes hella fast. You don't have to reset between posts. This is my second one. :) The speakers (there are two) basically sound like laptop speakers. So they're not exsilent, but they're way better then what was there before. Trust me, you will absolutely love it.

Re:Getting a BraileeNote Apex!

What does an ethernet cable feel like? Is it the same as the one you would hook in to an ethernet card? Thanks Alana and Paulina for the info. I will make sure to ask for 9.2.

Re:Getting a BraileeNote Apex!

Hey, Sarah the ethernet cable is the wire you plug into the back of your braille note's ethernet card like you thought, except in/ead of plugging it into that you plug it into the phone-like whole in the back of the braille note. This should allow you 6use the 9ternet just like you did before with the ethernet card.
Hope this helps.

Re:Getting a BraileeNote Apex!

Cool! Do you have an Apex?

Re:Getting a BraileeNote Apex!

Yes, I do have an Apex, and I love it!

Re:Getting a BraileeNote Apex!

What are some of your favorite features?

Re:Getting a BraileeNote Apex!

Hello
No wonder why my battery only take a few hours to go down because I use the built-in wireless a lot. But when I turn it off, the battery level seems to take longer to go down the level. But, I do have a charger next to me, near me, so I charge it when it gets near to the lowest level. I charge it at 10%.
By the way Sarah to answer your question, my favorite feature on the BrailleNote is the built in wireless, and the new feature in Keysoft 9.1 is that password protection feature. I find that very useful in my opinnion. And I've noticed the keybord on the Apex is the keys sound like a laptop and they are more lighter and easier to type. Hope everyone is doing good and have a good day.

Re:Getting a BraileeNote Apex!

That sounds very exciting! Where on the Apex and how does the ethernet cable plug in?

Re:Getting a BraileeNote Apex!

Hey,
Sarah, my favorite feat*res on the BrailleNote is the password feature, the new keyboard fore easy typing and less noise, the new sleakers for better sound, the scroll wheel for easy navigating, and so on.

Btw, on the top right side of your brailleNote Apex, there is a telephone like whole and that is where you plug in the ethernet cable.
Hope this helps.

Re:Getting a BraileeNote Apex!
