Re:Hello everyone
Posted by Nartboy on 8/1/2011 at 9:32 AMHello there everyone! Glad to see that some of you responded.
Annalee, I'm pretty open to anything that catches my interest. I like to watch movies, read books, cook, etc. What interest you?
Lindsay, thanks for the welcome. I like movies too and do other stuff. It's hard for me to choose a favorite movie or actor because there are so many that I like.
Joe S., Thank you for the welcome.
Sarah, I also like roller coasters and animals. Do you have any pets? Do you have a favorite animal?
Hope to hear from you guys later!
Re:Hello everyone
Posted by Thrill Monster on 8/2/2011 at 5:30 AMMy favorite animal is either a dog or hop6e. I have 3 pets dogs1 2 cats1 and 5 horses. What's your favorite roller coaster?
Re:Hello everyone
Posted by Nartboy on 8/2/2011 at 9:24 AMI likes dogs and horses too. I have 1 dog as a pet but he lives with my parents. I don't know about what is my favorite roller coaster. I haven't been to an amusement park in years. But I guess I like ones that go really high. and ones that goes backwards.
Re:Hello everyone
Posted by Joe S on 8/2/2011 at 9:44 AMOkay, I am always amused by telling people this, I have a pet dog, an australian shepherd, and she is deaf. So, I am the blind guy or visually impaired guy with the deaf dog. We use hand signals with her. She is a great dog, but I find it pretty funny.
Have a great Tuesday!

Re:Hello everyone
Posted by Thrill Monster on 8/2/2011 at 2:39 PMI have always wanted an Austrailian Shepherd. They are very smart dogs.
Re:Hello everyone
Posted by Wingman on 8/2/2011 at 4:32 PMI have too
My lab mix Josie is an escape artist I've had to chase her down four times this summer
Commands through hand signals sounds cool is it difficult
Re:Hello everyone
Posted by Thrill Monster on 8/3/2011 at 2:37 AMLol so is my dog!
Re:Hello everyone
Posted by Joe S on 8/3/2011 at 8:37 AMI like the escape artist comment.
The hand signals are pretty easy, but she is funny. If she doesn't want to listen, then she will not look at your hands. I can't always tell if she is paying attention, so I will have to feel which direction her head is looking.
My fiance trained her in the hand signals from reading up about it on websites. There are videos about it on YouTube, so I am told.
The dog is a rescue, she had been abused and something caused her hearing loss. She is great.
Enjoy your day!
Sincerely,
Joe S.

Re:Hello everyone
Posted by Nartboy on 8/3/2011 at 9:21 AMI have a lab mix and he is a little escape artist too! He likes to play around and he's such a coward even though he's a big dog but that's what makes me so funny and adorable.
I think the commands through hand signals is pretty cool and I find your dog adorable, joe.
Re:Hello everyone
Posted by Wingman on 8/3/2011 at 11:15 AMMy lab's a bit cowardly too she was abused before we got her so she is a picky eater, terrified of water and thunder just to name a few but she has gotten better than she was when i got her. She's a real character at times, when i got her one of those water bowls that stores up to four gallons of water she made a wood shaving mud pie in it because she didn't like the sound it made
Re:Hello everyone
Posted by Thrill Monster on 8/3/2011 at 1:06 PMHahahahahaha! What a funny dog!
Re:Hello everyone
Posted by Wingman on 8/3/2011 at 9:46 PMYeah today I tried a holtie head collar for the first time she acted like a bucking bronco while shee was getting used to it but it really helped our walk
What's your dogs favorite treat? Mine likes cheese and Graham crackers
Re:Hello everyone
Posted by Nartboy on 8/4/2011 at 9:30 AMI tried the holtie thing too on my dog and he doesn't like it. He always tries to take it off by rubbing his head on my leg. It likes looks he's giving me affection but people usually misinterpret that and it really funny sometimes.
My dog eats pretty much anything but boy, he sure does love chicken!
Re:Hello everyone
Posted by Wingman on 8/4/2011 at 12:57 PMIt might not be he doesnt like it it could be he's not used to it cause my dog tries to take it off quite often and gives me less trouble each time she wears it she was really funnny at the park she would fight it every time she diddnt get her way
Re:Hello everyone
Posted by Thrill Monster on 8/4/2011 at 7:42 PMMy dog's favorite treat is a bone, but she will eat anything you give her. When you're eating, she has the awful habit of begging. We also have a Pitbull named Sophie and we use what's called a gentle lead on her collar because she pulls hard on the leash during walks and she's always rubbing her head on people's legs to get it off. lol!
Re:Hello everyone
Posted by Wingman on 8/4/2011 at 8:05 PMCute
My dog threw a tantrum today it was kind of funny

Re:Hello everyone
Posted by Thrill Monster on 8/6/2011 at 2:28 AMI've only went twice this year which is way less than usual.
Re:Hello everyone
Posted by Nartboy on 8/8/2011 at 1:00 PMthe plan was changed at the last minute because some people canceled to meet. Do you guys hate when people do that?
Also, how was everyone's weekend?
Re:Hello everyone
Posted by Wingman on 8/8/2011 at 6:07 PMYes especially when it involes the movies and they cancel when there is no time to get there on my own.
My weekend was great I wrote to my slate pal for the first time and found out my eye report will be here soon. I also went to the park
Wensday I'm going to Charleston for the first time
Re:Hello everyone
Posted by Nartboy on 8/9/2011 at 10:11 AMI feel the same about movies. I hate when it happens.
That's cool about writing to your slate pal. And I hope you have a good time at Charleston. Where is it? I really never get out of the city here. If I had the time, I will.

Posted by country girl101 on 3/20/2013 at 2:14 PMHi Everyone,
I've never had a dog but my aunt has though and it's really annoying. He used to bark at everything litterally. That includes barking at his own reflection which drove everyone nuts. He's dead now.
