I almost STEPPED ON A SNAKE AGAIN!!!!

Happy Memorial day everyone
I hope you all have had a great one so far. Mine's been pretty good. I've been laying in my hammock relaxing for a great deal of it. Its been a great day EXCEPT i almost stepped on a SNAKE! aaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was a copperhead too. i decided i wanted to give my dog a bath and went outback and all the sudden my mom told me to run towards my dog. Then when i was over there she told me it was a snake. i came within inches of it. I didn't see anything of it. That's the closest I've come to a full grown that it wasn't night time that i didn't see. Thank god it didn't bite me

Wow you are a snake magnet! I don't mind snakes but I would tater see them than be surprised by them. Lucky for us the worst snake we have around here is a rattle snake. I think it is a timber rattle snake. We have a miniature dachshund that will kill a snake or most any wild animal that annoys her. She been bitten by copper heads before.

I don't mind snakes as long as thare not poizend but the ones that are not are OK. If its a tryangle hed its bad, but if its a round hed its fine Jc

It sounds like you are talking about a coral snake JC. There are coral snakes which are venomous and some kings snakes mimic the coloring of the coral snake. If red touches black he's a freind of jack. Red touches yellow kill a fellow. most of the highly dangerous ones are in African. The snake with the most potent venom is the black mamba.

Of course a lot of those snakes have migrated to the states by both human and cargo help.
If it was a black snake and i knew it i wouldn't of spazzed out after i found out. Which either way i'll respect them and keep my distance. Down towards the coast there's a snake that looks almost exactly like the black snake but is deadly and fast as heck called the Black racer.
The big thing i usually go by when i see one is the shape of its head cause i aint going to get close enough to see anything more.

Actually black racers are not deadly. They are longer and thinner than black snakes and have a mean temper. They also are extremely fast hence the name. We do have cotton mouth snakes around here. They also kinda look like black snakes but are fatter. They are venomous and can kill if you don't get proper medical treatment to monitor the bite. There mouths are cotton white. My favorite snakes are king snakes. They tend to be very calm.

I honestly really like snakes. Oh by the way wingman, sorry it's been a while since I sent a letter, it's been crazy here lol.

Mine's been pretty good within reason. I've been recovering from my second migraine of the summer and preparing to go to the beach again soon. Maybe i won't get splattered with food this time. I'm going to go with my O&M to get a bus pass soon.
