Products for Living More Independently With Vision Loss

Many products are available in the marketplace to help you live more independently with vision loss. Sometimes these products already exist in your home environment; you just need to use them in a new way so that you can do things as independently as possible. When you do not have what you need around the home, you can often find helpful items at your local hardware, home improvement or office supply store. When you cannot find what you need locally, there are a variety of specialty resources for products that people with vision loss can use to perform many different tasks. Some of these companies have catalogs that you can request by calling their toll free number and some have products available online. We have compiled a comprehensive list of these specialty resources to help you find what you need. Some companies have products which are exclusive to their line, so we suggest that you look at a variety of resources. You may also find that prices vary from company to company as well as from catalog to online. Be a smart shopper and compare prices so you get more for your money.
