JVIB Time Line

The year 2006 marked the centennial of the Journal of Visual Impairment & Blindness (JVIB). Originally entitled Outlook for the Blind, and later New Outlook for the Blind, JVIB has always kept professionals up-to-date on all the major developments and trends of the field of visual impairment and blindness, serving as the cornerstone of the field's literature for a century. The time line enclosed in these pages offers contemporary readers a look back at the major events in the life and times of the journal over the past 100 years. As JVIB continues to grow, so will the time line. In the coming months and years, we encourage readers to revisit this page to see what has been added.
