The Policy Research & Program Evaluation (PRPE) department has conducted several usability studies of web sites, some for internal usage and some as external contracts. A sample study evaluated the Medicare web site in 2001.
AFB Consulting, the consulting arm of the American Foundation for the Blind, also conducts web site evaluations, as well as advising companies on Section 508 compliance.
