AFB Senior Site's goal is to help those with vision loss and their loved ones understand that it is possible to be independent. Indeed, it's more than merely possible. Millions of Americans with vision loss live, work, and play when and how they wish, on their own terms. Most likely, they got some help on the way to independence. Sooner or later—preferably sooner—you're going to need professional assistance and a support network that includes your family, friends, and others with vision loss who understand what you're going through.
The good news is that these professional services and support groups do exist, and are designed to help you with the "how-to" of adjusting to life with vision loss. The links on the left offer an overview of just what's available, information about these services, and how to access them.
