Biography: J. Elton Moore

Photo of Elton Moore J. Elton Moore, Ed. D., CRC is Professor of Counselor Education and Director of the Rehabilitation Research and Training Center (RRTC) on Blindness and Low Vision at Mississippi State University. He has served as Associate Editor of the Journal of Visual Impairment and Blindness since 1998. He is currently serving as Guest Editor of a Special Theme Issue on Employment in JVIB . He has published extensively on a variety of rehabilitation topics including the Older Blind Independent Living program and the Randolph-Sheppard Vending Facility program. Dr. Moore is a past-President of the National Council of State Agencies for the Blind (NCSAB) and past-Chair of the Council of Division Chairs (CDC) for the Association for Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind and Visually Impaired (AER). Dr. Moore is a certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) and a Licensed Professional Counselor. He is a former Director of Mississippi Vocational Rehabilitation for the Blind and a past President of Prevent Blindness - Mississippi.
