Biography: Kay Alicyn Ferrell

Kay A. Ferrell, Ph.D., is Assistant Dean of the College of Education, University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. She is the author of Reach Out and Teach: Meeting the Training Needs of Parents of Visually and Multiply Handicapped Young Children and has published extensively on the development and education of infants and young children who are visually impaired. Dr. Ferrell is the recipient of the Distinguished Service Award from the Exceptional Children, Divison on Visual Impairment and the Alumni Award for Research in Special Education from Teachers College, Columbia University.
