Review Imagining the Possibilities

Other Titles by Diane Fazzi, Barbara Petersmeyer
We realized that there are many resources available on the content and techniques of O&M - "the what to teach", so we wanted to create a book that would focus on the "how to teach" in O&M. Imagining the Possibilities was conceptualized as a hands-on resource for immediate use in day-to-day teaching. We hope that the contents of this book will help both student teachers and O&M specialists with more experience explore a variety of creative instructional approaches for teaching O&M to a wide range of students who are blind or visually impaired, including those with multiple disabilities. It was a lot of fun creating the many sample lesson plans, idea boxes, teaching tips, and creative learning activities to share with our colleagues. We hope that these ideas will be useful and that you will bring them to life by adapting them and expanding upon them to meet your needs and interests. While no O&M resource can provide all of the answers, we hope that Imagining the Possibilities will jump-start your creative juices and help you generate other innovative teaching approaches that you can share with your colleagues.
