Description of Learning to Listen Series Webinar 4: Listening Guidelines for English Language Learners
This fourth webinar Listening Guidelines for English Learners presented by Madeline Milian, Ed.D., provides an overview of important factors that need to be taken into consideration when educating students who are blind or visually impaired and are learning English as a new language. It then discusses the sequence of listening skills as it relates to learning a new language, and it concludes with suggestions that teachers may find helpful when designing listening activities for students who are both learning English as a new language and have a visual impairment.
