Description of Visual Activities for Babies from 4 to 8 Months of Age
Chapter 6 provides visual activities for babies from 4 to 8 months of age. These include activities that stimulate and encourage the use of the baby's eye muscles in a coordinated fashion; encourage the baby to follow a moving target such as a person, object, or light source; stimulate the baby to see objects and people at a distance; encourage the baby to determine the spatial location of objects; further the baby's ability to concentrate on a specific object or person; encourage the baby to recognize an object when only part of the object is visible; stimulate the baby to distinguish one object from another; encourage the baby to recall visual characteristics of an object, picture, or person; and help the baby to distinguish an object from its background.
