Description of Assessments Linked to Interventions: Literacy and Math
Some children with CVI who are able to participate in academic programs may have subtle visual and learning challenges, causing them to struggle academically unless provided the appropriate level of understanding and support. Through assessment, educators can isolate the effects of CVI and resulting requirements for students learning in core curricular areas such as literacy and math. This chapter addresses specific literacy and math assessment considerations for school-age (kindergarten through high school) students with CVI.
