Description of Assessments Linked to Interventions: Computers, Tablets, and Other Assistive Technology
Assistive technology can be critical in supporting the education of students with visual impairments. This chapter summarizes the main types of computer options that are available for all students with visual impairments to provide the background for considering the special technology needs of children with CVI. It also presents specific strategies and considerations for assessment and for formulating recommendations on the use of technology specific to students with CVI.
