Description of Specialized Assessments for Students with Visual Impairments - Volume 2, Chapter 4 Foundations of Education
The efficiency of students who are visually impaired in using sensory information and their potential to increase that efficiency informs all aspects of their education. Their level of efficiency and the implications for instructional programming are determined through specialized assessment processes that are unique to the needs of these students. This chapter presents guidelines and strategies for conducting functional vision, learning media, and assistive technology assessments. Also presented are resources for conducting these assessments, along with selected assessment checklists.
