I have created a facebook group for low vision/blind parents with sighted children. I am hoping to get a group of individuals together that can help one another with issues. Please join this group.

Posted by andymiles0782@gmail.com on 8/7/2014 at 1:59 PMHi, I am blind and have a 16 month old baby girl. I need all the help I can get. What was the name of the facebook group?

Posted by Starstruck106 on 7/11/2013 at 5:44 AMYou did not leave a URL for your facebook. I am not blind but my mother is from Retinitis Pigmentosa. She never had a support group and raised myself and my brother just fine. Her husband is deaf and my daughter in law was skeptical about her watching my new granddaughter when she worked because she is blind. I had only one thing to say. If it wasn't for that blind woman doing such a wonderful job raising her children - then you wouldn't have ever had your child. Enough said. Having a blind parent is not a handicap for the children or the parent. My mother compensated for not seeing with hearing that you could not believe. We got away with nothing. My mother does not work on the computer but I do for her. Any questions, I am sure we could provide an answer.
