Expanding possibilities for people with vision loss

Can pain medication increase vision loss?

I lost my vision due to CMV Retinitis but had a small amount of residual vision in my left eye, though very blurred. Recently I have increased pain medication significantly and have noticed all residual vision has gone white and have severe increase in light sensivity. Does anyone have any experience with this or know of anyone with similar reactions? Thanks.

Hi there,
I can't find evidence for an established connection between pain medication and vision loss, but it always a good idea to keep your doctor informed about these sorts of things! YOur case might be very unique.
