Re:hello

Harry,

I am sorry about your friend's situation. We can offer resources on blindness and visual impairment. Doctors are the ones qualified to give medical advice on such issues. Your friends has not had their vision for a long time from the information you included. There are many successful persons who are blind or visually impaired. You can read about some at www.afb.org/cc in CareerConnect's series called Success Stories which give profiles of such great stories of our mentors who are blind or visually impaired.

You can check out the other offerings from CareerConnect and AFB.
Some resources:
www.afb.org
www.hadley.edu which is a free school for persons who are blind or visually impaired, includes all kinds trainings.

Hope these are helpful resources and I am sorry that we can not do more. Just remember, we can overcome most barriers. Persons with vision loss are persons first and can succeed.

Sincerely,
Joe S.
