Help for Bachelor Thesis - Guidance for Blind and Visually impaired

Hello everyone,

I am a student from Germany and I am currently looking for a bachelor topic for my thesis, that is coming up this spring/summer. I would love to work with blind and visually impaired people and improve their every day life, through better guidance. Are you yourself Blind, Visually impaired or do you live together with someone who is, then I would love you to help me to find out more about what you think should be improved in your every day life! Where do you still feel restricted, where and during which tasks would you appreciate more freedom, where are you still too dependent on others, what is your opinion on using apps to guide you around (which ones are your favorite apps),
how do you feel about guidance and getting around at for example airports? is it easy for you to arrive there and reach the gate and plane by yourself or are you dependent on a lot of help from others?
Do you use a cane if yes would you appreciate it if there was a solution that is as effective and safe that would replace the cane?

Whichever question you feel you can help me with or answer or comment on please feel free to do so. Im happy with any answer i can get and it would be a great help for me!

All the best from Germany.

Lea :)
