Expanding possibilities for people with vision loss

I am blind completely from one of my eyes.

Is it considered a disability? If I close the eye which I can see with I cannot see anything it's just black.

Not a disability. You have to be pretty much blind in both eyes to be considered disabled. I think it is 20/400 or worse adjusted in both eyes. Something like that.

I have one eye that had a Detached Retina on which surgery was done 1.5 years ago or so and now it seems like it is falling apart again. Never have been able to see out of it in any useable way. So soon I'll probably be in the same shape as you are. If your one good eye is still functional, you should be able to do most of what everyone else can do.
