Interior design for the blind and visually impaired

Hi everyone! I am an Interior Design student at the University of Cincinnati. For my senior project I would like to design interior spaces, specifically apartments or student housing and lounge spaces, which will be accessible and interesting for the blind and visually impaired. I am interested in what attracts you to a university, apartment, house, or neighborhood, and I want to learn what materials and textures, as well as colors and lighting are preferred for floors, walls, seating, and more. If you have any critiques or successful aspects about the space in which you live, the interior and the exterior, I would love to learn about that as well. Feel free to contact me at kageorla@mail.uc.edu. I look forward to chatting with you, thanks!

Have you since finished this project?

What ideas did you come up with?
