Re:learning braille

HI, I AM A PERSON WHO HAS LOW VISION THE DOCTORS TELL ME THAT I HAVE A CONDITION CALLED MYOPIA, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS NEAR-SIGHTEDNESS, THEY ALSO SAID THAT I AM GOING TO NEED SURGERY IN ORDER TO CORRECT THE FAULTY VISION. I AM HOWEVER VERY DEPRESSED ABOUT IT AND I FEEL LIKE SOMETIMES IT WILL DRIVE ME CRAZY, BECAUSE I HAVE A BURNING DESIRE IN MY HEART TO STUDY AND I AM BEING HAMPERED BY MY PROBLEM, PLEASE TELL ME WHAT TO DO BECAUSE I CAN NOT TAKE IT ANYMORE.

well, all I can say is that you must keep the faith and stay strong.

Re:learning braille

It is possible for a blind person to teach you Braille. However, does your area have Rehabilitation teachers? They should also be able to teach you Braille, and may have some tips or other tihngs that could help.

I am also learning Braille right now. I've managed to get the 26 letters and the capital sign, although it's difficult to remember them all.

One thing I should mention, and I hope it doesn't depress you.... one side effect of diabetes is diabetic neuropathy. A friend of mine has it, and he is unable to feel enough to differentiate the dots in braille. It is possible that some people will get nerve damage that prevents them from reading Braille.... but it would be best to talk to your doctor or RT specialist about that.
