yeah, taste can help I had a chrisont that was exspired and the butter tasted greenish, like some moldy plant life so I spit it out and put it in the trash. I obviously wasn't going to eat it.

but, i think not all food can be taste it if expired ,example instant noodle and coffee powder ....both taste still the same if expired already.
also,if taste all the food ,just know the food already expired ,is it a good way to help you recognize the food expired date ?

I have my kitchen arranged in such a way that certain kinds of foods go in certain places. I eat a basic diet and do not do a lot of elaborate cooking anymore.

yeah, it's called asking and labeling. some use a bar code labeler and stuff. also eating things fast and bying in small quantities help. mind if I answer your questions? I'll be really blunt but.....

So,normally what is the things(food) you bought it and need to store at home ?

If sometimes you felt hungry ,what is the the things you normally cook to eat ?
I can't cook so I do tv dinners or sanwitches at the moment but when I do I cook everything. most things you do, no different there.
do you will feel not confidence about the food because afraid it already decomposes or the date already expired ?
nope , unless, it was unsanitary such as my fridge being unplugged. which has happened twice. otherwise I don't, and if it's gone bad you can taste it.

I have various devices for reading documents but they are not fast enough to read items in a store where there are countless douments of information on every item. You really need a sighed helper to get through it all.

But at home you can use this device to lable the items if you do not know braille.

Sherlock Talking Label Identifier
Identify items easily with a pre-recorded voice label

I dont have one but am thinking of purchasing one soon.

I buy few things in packages. I buy fresh vegetables and fruit and cook them within a day or two. Rice I buy and keep in a jar in the refrigerator. Fish I buy the day I plan to cook it. Dairy such as milk yogurt or cheese I buy in quantities I can use up within a week and keep it in the refrigerator so no spoilage there.

When I buy cans or jars of something, I label them in braille. If I buy several six packs of different types of soda, I may put a card with the braille name onto the six pack when the store employee is checking out my groceries.
I also know a lot of blind folks who choose to avoid unhealthy soft drinks and thus avoid the identification issue of cans. Similarly, I use the packages and cans of food I buy fast enough so the expiration dates are not an issue. Given the nature of expiration dates this is pretty simple to do.
A package of spaghetti is distinct from a box of zeti or penne, so no need to label those.
I am of no help with fast food since i never eat it.
