Expanding possibilities for people with vision loss

single and alone

My name is Dustin. I'm 25, and totally blind. This is partly to see if I'm alone in my feelings. I'm just out of a vocational teck school. I have recently started a small business. Now I'm moveing on to a new stage in my life. I'm now looking for a lady to eventually become my wife. This has proved to be a chalendge. I have moved back to Maryland where I've lived all of my life. But sence I've been gone for a year, Most of my frends have moved away. I've tryed going to bars, but that has not worked out so well. I've tryed online dateing sites, but they all cost money, and you don't get much for it in my oppinion. So, I'm in need of advice. Does any one feel the same way I do. What do you do to handle the lonely nights. Even though I've trained myself to live with out the sex, I still want a companion. If there is a sweet lady between the ages of 22, and 30, who thinks she mite like a hard working man for a boy frend, feel free to drop me an email, at smallenginemac@yahoo.com I like country music, fishing, camping, and other out door things. I'm willling to traval if needed. So, folks, I'd like some help with this problem. Even if your not looking for someone, still email me, and lend a hand.

Re:single and alone

Hey everyone,

Jason here, just joined the board and agree with everyone here. This is a very confusing and sometimes daunting task indeed. Yeah it is very lonely but what I do to deal with that is to bust butt on a small business I own. This is in hopes of finding the same thing you are looking for. Someone to meet, have a fulfilling relationship with and to eventually settle down with that person. All the best of luck to ya man.

God Bless!

J

Hey. I'm 23 and not totally blind, but extremely visually impaired. It was so much easier when I was a little kid! Being an adult in this situation is a bit more challenging! It is tough to meet significant others. I totally agree with you about bars though, but I don't think it's just for unsighted people... that's a tough way to meet in general. I met my current boyfriend through a friend and we've been having problems... I worry sometimes that if we break up, I'll be right back where I started. I'm completely with you.
