Birthday Ideas for the Visually Impaired
Posted by mbsilva@utep.edu on 5/22/2007 at 12:34 PM
My son's 5th birthday is coming up and I am having a hard time deciding what to do for his b-day party. He does not like pool parties and gets aggravated quickly. He has ONH and does not speak yet. Does anybody have any good birthday party ideas?
We live in El Paso, TX. if anyone lives in this area too, let me know.

Posted by cdaley on 10/16/2007 at 1:59 PMwe have twin 4yr old daughters, one is deafblind and one is vi. They both love jumping and climbing so for their bday we are going to a little gymnastics type place where they can climb and jump like crazy! Last year we went to an inflatable jump place...loved that too!

Posted by Kenya on 8/12/2007 at 2:15 PMHello I hope this is not to late to help you but i am a adult with ONH and Nystagmus. What I remember my mother doing on my birthdays is having a trampoline which I loved and she had a number of touch games like pin the tail on the donkey, we smelled baby food jars and tried to guess what was in them. I hope this helps
