My baby has nystagmus and needs surgery, anyone have this done?

My 9 month old son, Nicholas, has been diagnosed with Nystagmus. His uncles on my side all have the condition as well. Now, a suregeon says he can help to significantly minimize the movement and side effects from the condition. Anyone have this done? If so, how well did it work??? Please let me know.

Hi I'm Venessa,
My son also has nystagmus and ONH but I always thought that the movement is caused by some electrical imbalance in the brain. I wanted to look at physician in Philidephia who is the leading researcher in Nystagmus. However, my son's opthamologist will not operate because of it being in the brain.
