Accessible Weather Application Research Study

Hi everyone,

We are researchers in the Sonification Lab at Georgia Institute of Technology. We are seeking people who use TalkBack or other screen readers on their Android devices to give feedback on current weather applications and to test a new weather application.

We would like you to complete a survey with questions about different features you use on your weather app and how it works with TalkBack. At the end of the survey, we will provide a link to the new accessible weather app that we have created as part of our accessibility research study. After approximately 1 week, we will post a survey asking for your opinions on the accessible weather app and any comments you have.

We will also post a second follow-up survey after 1 month, so you will have longer experience being able to try the app. We appreciate any feedback you are able to give us after both 1 week and 1 month.

The link to the first survey is here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/KLPRVFX

Hello,

The final survey (the one month survey) is now available here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/PC9J86R if you have used the app at all, this is a good way to give us some directed feedback about the app, including things you liked and disliked about it! Please fill it out if you have time, your responses are very useful for us.

I wanted to let you all know how much we appreciate the feedback, suggestions, and comments you've given us, either through emails/posts here or through the surveys. We're doing our best to integrate them into the app, but it will take some time.

If there's anything else you'd like to share with us, feel free to post here or to send us an email at sonlab@gatech.edu.

Thank you everyone,

The SonLab

Hi! I wanted to let people know that we've posted an update, you should be able to manually add locations now, for those of you who had issues with it previously. Please check it out and let us know! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.... There are still more updates to be made, but this is a more major one.

We were going to post the final survey this week, but we'll wait until next Friday (7/10/15) to post it. Hopefully this will give you a chance to try the update before the last survey! We really appreciate all of your comments and feedback. If you've got a chance, once we post it, please give us some more feedback.

Thank you!

The Sonification Lab

Hi everyone,

This post contains a 1 week follow-up survey for the Accessible Weather App (available here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com....). If you have not used it, feel free to download it and try it out, we’re happy to get feedback through here and we’ll also be posting a survey in about 3 weeks, to get feedback after more long-term app usage. Any positive or negative feedback is welcome!

The link to the second survey is here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/9VF63J6

If you’ve already given us feedback, we greatly appreciate it! We want to hear from users and make the Accessible Weather App better.
