Expanding possibilities for people with vision loss

Walky Talky and Intersection Explorer, Android Apps by Google

Two New Android Apps by Google to help the blind navigate arounf town: Walky Talky and Intersection Explorer.

Walky Talky speaks the address of the locations to which the Blind person is passing. And it provides spoken walking directions.

In Intersection Explorer touching the screen speaks the street at the nearest intersection. Also when you lift up the finger, it speaks the distance and finally lets you know the new arrived intersection.

This came via a Google Alert for Low Vision and Techxilla. Much shortened. It did not say where to find more.
