Wanted: Computer and software donations

My brother is 60 years old and totally blind. He also has Guillain-Barre Syndrome so is wheelchair bound. I can't afford to get him a computer and software. Does anyone know where to get a donated computer and/or software? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

Does your brother know how to use a screen reader of some sort? Also, what kind of software does he need? I have an old computer that had XP still with adaptive software on it. I wanted to give it away to someone because it has been sitting in my room for a while now not being used.

Please say where you live. Charities tend to be local.
You might try your local Lions club; they do a lot for the blind. You might also consult your State office for the blind; Abledata.com may list it. I would use Google. In some areas the libraries make special efforts for the blind, or can help you search.
