public praying for a blind person

You write in your blog about being approached by a man who wanted to pray for your eyes. You say you and your friends stood in a restaurant for five whole minutes while he did so.
Frankly, I cringed reading what you did. I am a very private person. I would never subject myself to such a public thing. I would have thanked him for his good will quietly and moved on as quickly as i could. But that is me, not you. We each react differently in such situations. Most blind people run into this kind of thing sooner or later.
Posting such experiences is valuable since so many of us are accosted by such people.Often they are extremely intrusive when the blind person politely wishes to move on and not engage with them. Good thing we can keep a sense of humor.
