Editor's Page — JVIB Extract

Since Editor's Pages do not have abstracts, we have provided an extract of the beginning of the text.

Extract: The month of September signifies the end of summer vacation and a return to school and sweater-clad evenings. For some, fall represents an impending end; however, it signifies a fresh start for students and teachers alike. Fall marks the initiation of the process of regenerating the earth in preparation for new growth, and, as the leaves in the trees change from green to golden, we are reminded that there cannot be progress without change. I see the Journal of Visual Impairment and #0038; Blindness (JVIB) as the conduit for change in the field of visual impairment and blindness. In the past 100 years, the thousands of articles, Research Reports, Letters to the Editor, and commentaries published in the journal have shaped this field and have created ever-necessary change. Without change, we would not be where we are today.
