Extract: EducationTechnology news from Western Michigan UniversityA new building will soon be completed for all the departments in the College of Health and Human Services at Western Michigan University (WMU), including its Department of Blindness and Low Vision. The new facility will contain an assistive technology laboratory, an accessible materials laboratory, a recording studio, accessible reading rooms, a motion research laboratory, and an art and home mechanics laboratory. The faculty of the Department of Blindness and Low Vision was involved with choosing the building's design and accessibility features and in ensuring its practical utility.
